Description

This page will provide a more detailed look at the purpose for the activities and events offered by FCF of Elkhart. Hopefully this will give you a good idea of what is being offered in the events and enable you to determine if you might be interested in attending. The items listed are in no particular order except that the regular activities will be presented first.

A family church, charismatic teaching center, reaching out to the world. Located 15 minutes north of Des Moines, Iowa. Sunday morning service-begins at 10 AM usually with a few minutes for people to visit and catch up with what others are doing. We usually start with inspirational thoughts to share. The music is made up of uplifting songs that are easy to learn and have messages that are typically scriptural and helpful to have in your mind. A message will be presented which can deal with a large variety of subjects in the Word of God. There may be time given at the close of the message for anyone to ask questions or make comments concerning the subject. Sometimes these become very interesting in their own light as different people share their thoughts. There may be a time of praying for individual needs or the group praying as a whole.

Some subjects that have been and will continue to be examined include, but are not limited to: salvation, spirit, soul and body, faith in God, mercy, peace, healing and health, earthly finances, the infilling of the Spirit of God, manifestations and workings of the Spirit of God, prayer, how the plan of redemption works, who we are in Christ, worship, thankfulness, prophecy, bringing the Lord into the affairs of this life, why is there evil and where did it come from, knowing the Lord personally, elements of authority God has given the child of God, rest and many more.

Wednesday night service begins at 7 PM and aims to be done by 8 or shortly after. It is an informal gathering with a time of individual sharing if people wish to do so. There is some subject from the Bible that is the main item but individual comments and questions often bring other elements into the study.

God is Love and He Loves You!

As a church we have a great interest in the business of the health and healing of the physical body. God has provided ample evidence and examples throughout the Bible that supernatural elements of healing have and do exist and have brought great benefit to many. Something often overlooked is the fact that extremely powerful healing elements exist in the natural realm also and come from the very same God. They are included in the creation of mankind and the other life forms as well.

Good nutrition and exercise working together with the supernatural things of God are very beneficial! Good physical and spiritual habits help create good overall health.

We offer tae kwon do classes each Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:30-7:30 at the church. These are open to anyone. We host a branch school associated with Martial Arts America headquartered in Ankeny, Iowa. For more information about MAA visit their site at http://www.martialartsamerica.net/ or call 515-963-3494. Concerning weather related cancellations we will follow the actions of North Polk schools located in Alleman, Iowa. We are located in this school district. If they cancel school, let out early, or cancel evening activities due to weather TKD classes at Faith Christian Fellowship will also be cancelled.

Faith

Faith is the cornerstone of our church. It is part of every activity that we do, every meeting that we hold. We believe in our Lord, and that our actions are a reflection of his goodness.

Scripture

We look to the Lord for guidance in our lives. In Scripture, we find all that we need to guide us in the right path. Reading and understand Scripture helps us all live meaningful lives.

Community
